SC offers a secret address option for victims of crime

Columbia, SC (WRDW/dares) -South Carolinas New -speech program will start this autumn to protect some victims of crime.

It offers victims of domestic violence, human trafficking, stalking, harassment and sex crimes with a named replacement speech.

All state and local governments and the courts must use this replacement address and prevent a victim from being found by public records.

The program offers confidential mail management services for individuals and families in very South Carolina.

“Our office has always focused on helping crime victims,” said Wilson, Attorney General of South Carolina, on Friday. “This new program is another important step to ensure that people who have already become victim can feel more secure that it is confidential where they live now where they live.”

In order to register for the program, potential participants have to meet with a registered application assistant who contributes to filling out the application.
