Mets sign 2-way star to $ 1.75 million in value contract according to MLB Draft

The New York Mets used their first choice in the MLB design to choose a two-way star.

And on Thursday they signed it for a value contract.

The slit value for No. 38 selection was 2.569 million US dollars. The Mits signed Mitch Voit for 1.75 million US dollars.

The second baseman and pitcher in Michigan has parallel to Padres outstanding Jake Cronenworth, writes Jim Callis from MLB.com.

“One of the best rackets in the college class, 15 to 20 hours of potential, low 90s on the hill,” added Callis.

Of course, many top athletes play in college in both directions, but very few pursue it professionally.

But the Mets expressly announced Voit as a two-way player with his selection. He was one of only three boys in the entire 20-round draft, which his design team referred to as a two-way player.

This implies at least a little that the Mets will not restrict the Voit in the early case.

The Majors as a two-way type would actually be a surprise, but this gives Voit a double chance of being successful. If a number of skills are not translated, it may be the other.

It is certainly a great chance for the Mets.
