iPhone 17 Pro publication date, iPhone -Fold -Design -Büls, MacBook Pro -Terverung

Take a look back at the news and headlines this week from the entire Apple World, including the iPhone 17 Pro Publication date, the new iPhone 17 -Design, the iPhone -Fold -Display secret, the delayed MacBook Pro, the Apple AI employee from Meta, Cyberpunk 2077 on MacOS and the baseball plans from Apple.

Apple Loop is here to remind you of some of the many discussions about Apple in the past seven days. You can also read my weekly Digest of Android News here on Forbes.

iPhone 17 Pro publication date Details

While Apple traditionally starts the new iPhones line in the second week of September, the exact date will only be confirmed later. David Phelan collects the details that we have so far when the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro are arrived, including the latest grade of Mark Gurman von Bloomberg for a potential start on Monday:

“I had only briefly considered on Monday, but Gurman gives more. However, we believe that on Tuesday, 9th or Wednesday, 10er, we are more likely. As I said, my money on Tuesday, September 9th, is in the absolutely regular time when it is always the case, ten in the morning.

iPhone 17 Design details Leck

While the date is discussed, the major discussions focus on the potential new hardware and software that Tim Cook and his team introduce with the new iPhone. The potential colors of the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 were appeared this week. The iPhone 17 is delivered in black, white, steel gray, green, purple and light blue. While the iPhone 17 air in black, white, light blue and light gold is available:

“We also received access to an internal document with the Pantone colors. While the colors are the same for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, Apple offers different color options for the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air to distinguish the two models.”

Samsung Leads for the iPhone -Fold -Display

With a view to 2026, many expect Apple to debut an iPhone fold, with some of the largest signals from the display chain of the display. Strangely enough, Apple seems to procure a Samsung display design of the foldable screen that decides not to choose its own design:

“Apple's decision to go all-in with Samsung's CRASE-FREE solution will benefit the suppliers of the latter, including the fine M-TEC, an important provider of internal hinges that, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, a renowned source of Apple-related information from the supply chains, was highlighted as the leading more favorable.”

MacBook Pro and delayed

While the Iphoen publication date, as mentioned, is relatively stable, the Mac time plan is somewhat wild. Apple has a scope even with an annual update from MacOS, which has built up in WWDC announcements and an autumn publication. The MacBook Pro publication that all expected in October is a typical example. Tim Cook and his team now look at a publication of the M5 model in January 2026:

“Apple has already recorded this route when the MacBook Pro M2 was pushed back in January 2023. In contrast to the iPhone, which has to start almost mythically in the second week of September, Apple is a little more of a pillow that can do things right instead of following a strict schedule, at least for hardware.”

Meta Poches important Apple Ai employee

With artificial intelligence at the head of computing, the lack of a dominant presence in Apple's discourse is remarkable. This also means that the personnel movements in this area – in particular Apple in the direction of the comptation that does not match – is worth nothing. Meta “poached” Ruoming Pang used to be in summer. Now two of his former colleagues join him:

“According to people with knowledge of the matter, the giant for social networks commissioned Mark Lee and Tom Gunter for his superintelligence Labs team. Lee has started at Meta after leaving Apple in the past few days, while Gunter will start working in the near future, said the people who asked not to be identified because the attitudes were not announced.”

Five years later, Cyberpunk 2077 arrives

Apple clearly failed to support AAA gaming title in the most recent memory. The availability of cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is worth mentioning. It is also worth mentioning that the game itself was published for the first time five years ago and has made countless other games, desktop and handheld systems before it finally arrived on Apple Hardware:

“Development studio CD Project Red Today [Thursday 17 July] Published action game Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition published for the Mac, and it looks as if the developers make the experience for Mac Gamer with the right hardware as impressive as possible.

And finally …

Apple's forays are continued in the sport, since the Weekend -Franchise package by Major League Baseball is received from both the expected ESPN and NBC, but also the Apple TV team in Cupertino.

“[MLB Commissioner Rob] Manfred broke some news in our sitdown. He confirmed that NBC, Apple and ESPN are the three bidders for the “Sunday Night Baseball” package of the league, which ESPN rejected from the beginning of this year. Manfred told me that he planned to choose a winner for these rights within the month and they could be divided between two bidders.
