Wrestling legend is amputated

Marcus Bagwell, better known for his wrestling Moniker Buff Bagwell from the Wrestling Promotion Company, which was founded by CNN founder Ted Turner, unfortunately amputated over his knee.

The close friend of Bagwell, Steve Stasiak, announced the devastating news on Facebook on Friday that the operation took place on Thursday morning after a long fight to avoid this exact result.

“I have known buff for a long time. I saw him in the spotlight, I saw him behind the scenes and saw him through the things that most people never heard of. It is difficult. For everyone who knows and love him,” said Stasiak. “The injuries to his accident of 2020 were never completely healed. He gave him everything he had to avoid this result – but this fight led him here. And now a whole new kind of battle begins.”

He continued: “Buff was one of the brightest stars of a wild era in wrestling. He made you look. He took care of you. But it is who he is as a person – the lights, past the persona – that I hope that people think today when you read this.

About 12 hours before the life-changing operation, Bagwell went to his YouTube channel and informed what led to this result.

Bagwell sat next to his fiancee, Stacy, and announced that this was “the result of a five -year fight, he tried to save my leg”.

Bagwell announced that he had a terrible accident in August 2020 when he plunged his Chevy Tao into a structure. Nobody was in the structure. The accident, he says, happened when he still recovered from the operation. He had recently switched his knee from a small meniscal tear.

Bagwell said that part of the building had collapsed, and it was seriously injured in his knee cap, which led to a seven -week hospital stay and 21 operations that searched him to the deepest, darkest, in which I have ever been, the addiction was alcohol.

Bagwell, who took part in the WCW from 1991 to 2001, announced that he went to rehab in August 2022. He will celebrate three years of sobriety on August 27th.

Wrestling fans flooded the comment area with support.

“New Gimmick-Bionic Buff !! You will feel better and be more mobile as soon as you lose this leg and get a kickass prosthesis. Simply follow the cleaning system to the letter to prevent infection from incision and remain sober. No pills. Love Ya,” commented a fan. “

Another wrote. “Marcus is not something that the average person would be so confident about.

The wrestling legend will first be released on July 18, 2025 in Men's Journal
