Braves' Ronald Acuña Jr. Jeker stunned with an assistant of 301 feet

Ronald Acuña Jr. caught the New York Yankees with a spectacular litter to end the third inning in the series of Atlanta Braves on Friday evening with 7: 3 victory.

The all-star Right Field felled Jorbit Vivas on the third basis when the runner tried to mark on the right to a deep fly to the corner.

With 301 feet of hip jumping-the longest assist this season and the first throw of more than 300 feet without presence, since Mookie Betts' 302-foot throw from Mookie Bets on July 31, 2020, stopped Ketel Marte.

“His accuracy is stupid,” said Braves manager Brian Snitker about Acuña. “He is a weapon in the right field. His arm is so strong and accurate, and the ball carries, release is good. It is something special out there.”

Acuña caught the ball right in front of the warning route with her back to the Infield. He turned and fired a throw that reached the third base in time until afternoon Alvarez Jr. marked a slow Vivas, who ignored the signal by Luis Rojas, coach Luis Rojas.

“I always try to anticipate these pieces,” said Acuña through an interpreter. “This is really what I always try to concentrate and anticipate the piece before it happens. I really didn't try to do something else. Fortunately, I have a good arm.”

Alvarez was casual when the throw approached to deceive Vivas, who would probably have been safe if he ran and slipped all the way hard.

“[Vivas] I am deced, “said Yankees manager Aaron Boone.” That just can't happen. I did my entire career on the third base. Just play stupid, play dead. And that's something [Vivas] read. Alvarez's body language there was only adorned. He knew that it was a deep fly ball, so he caught up with him. … it is a lesson that this cannot happen on a baseball field, especially in this situation. “

It was the longest litter to complete a double game since 2021 when Adam Eaton's litter took 302 feet on July 4th.
