At least 30 injured after the driver loses consciousness, car plowed through the crowd in East Hollywood, says Lafd

East Hollywood, Los Angeles (KABC) – At least 30 people were injured after a car in East Hollywood had plowed with a lot when a driver apparently lost consciousness, the authorities said.

The crash occurred near the intersection of the Santa Monica Boulevard and the Vermont Avenue. At least seven people were in a critical condition, six were in a serious state and more than a dozen were treated on site, according to the fire brigade of Los Angeles. 23 patients were transported.

A man was among the injuries with a gunshot wound, said the LAFD.

Witnesses said that spectators also took the vehicle's driver out of his car and ram him for the car.

According to the authorities, 124 fire service staff at the scene help.

The car rammed into a crowd that was in Vermont outside of the music location. According to the fire brigade, the amount consisted of a nearby Taco stand from a nearby Taco stand.

Lafd capt. Adam van Gerpen said that a number of people -the majority woman -waited to get to the night club when they were hit by a Nissan verse who also met the Taco truck and the Valet stand.

People in the club came out in the minutes before the arrival of emergency crews to help the victims.

“They all stood in a snake in a night club. There was a Taco car out there, so they went … something to eat and waited to go in. And there is also a Valet line there,” said van Gerpen. “The Valet podium was removed, the Taco truck was removed, and then a large number of people were affected by the vehicle.”

According to its online calendar, the club organized a reggae/hip shop event from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

“LAFD coordinates the triage and the transport of patients at this point,” said the authorities early Saturday morning in a first explanation.

The police authority examines the cause and the motif of the crash.
