Calgary man who killed the five -year -old grandson


A Calgary man convicted of manslaughter, who was convicted of manslaughter at the death of his five-year-old grandchildren, was granted a statutory release from prison.

In the decision that Allan Perdomo Lopez should have no contact with children, says the Canada probation committee.

The 65-year-old was sentenced to nine years in 2019 after Emilio Perdomo died of a traumatic brain injury.

Five months earlier, the boy was sent to Canada by his mother from Mexico by his mother.

The court heard that the boy was exposed to physical abuse for months, with bruising and scars being found in his whole body.

In the trial, a recording of the grandfather in tears in Spanish prayed, asked God for forgiveness and said he didn't want to kill this child.

Perdomo Lopez was refused to probation and full probation in 2022.

According to the law, federal criminals that serve two thirds of a prison sentence can receive a legal approval for the rest of their prison sentence with supervision in the municipality.
