Rory McIlroys accusation in the open slowdown by a bizarre ball hidden

Rory McIlroy's indictment in the third round at the Open Championship was derailed in a bizarre way on Saturday when he carried out a trick shot in the 11th hole.

With a swish of his club, McIlroy not only beat his designated ball from the right side of the fairway, but also another ball that was buried under the lawn.

The second ball jumped out of the groundVery too Mcilroy's surprise. He picked it up and stopped it and looked confused.

“I have another golf ball,” he said with a smile to the people around him.

McIlroy then laughed and threw the Mystery Ball into a nearby bush. NBC Sports commentator and former Caddy John Wood said that an compatible Mcilroy asked him if he had ever seen anything like this.

His shot was a poor one, not even the green, and he couldn't go up and down for par. The Bogey – the first of his round – dropped him for the day on 2 and 5 for the tournament in Royal Portrush.

He recovered from the bizarre moment with an eagle to 12th place, which pulled a roar out of the crowd.

Mcilroy brewed three of his first four holes and then decided until the surprising moment on the 11th for all pars.

The media of the Associated Press and Field Level have contributed to this report.
