Studies after unexpected death at Airbnb in South Dakota

Elk Point, SD (KTiv) – The MPs examine an unexpected death at an Airbnb area near Elk Point.

On Friday, July 18, around 11:40 a.m., MPs from Union County were called to a rental property outside of Elk Point after receiving reports on an unexpected death of a guest.

According to the Union County's office, the MPs processed the scene according to standard examination protocols.

The MPs say that at this point there is no immediate sign of trauma that can be seen on the individual, and an autopsy was ordered to determine the person's cause of death.

Due to the current findings, the MPs indicate that there is no reason to assume that the public exists in relation to this incident.

The Union County's office works with the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation and follows all relevant information.
