Everything we know about Hershall Creachbaum's death

Dayton, Ohio (WKEF)-We know about the death of 7-year-old Hershall Creachbaum.

At the beginning of July, the 7-year-old Hershall Creachbaum was kidnapped by his house in Xenia Avenue. He was found dead on the same day later. Now, a week later, his family, friends and community are still trying to wrap this tragedy.

The 911 call was made by Michael Kendrick, in which he had reported the child kidnapped last Saturday. “It's my son. You took my son,” said Kendrick. “Did you take your son with you?” asked the dispatcher.

But at a press conference on Monday, just a few days after this first call, the police chief of Dayton, Kamran Afzal, revealed a shocking development in the case.

“When the investigation developed, it was found that Hershall had not been seen for several weeks. In the end, it was found that Hershall had not been missing, but had died for a few weeks,” said Chief Afzal.

An affidavit revealed that Kendrick hit his head twice when drinking and in a dispute at the end of May. In this document it says that Kendrick informed the police that Creachbaum died the following day. Kendrick's girlfriend and Creachbaum's mother, Ashley Johnson, told the police that her son had died in the hospital. Creachbaum's grandmother Missy Rowland Creachbaum said when she last saw her grandson in May because Johnson always had an excuse for why they couldn't see him.

“He either sleeps or plays.

Both Kendrick and Johnson were arrested and accused in connection with Creachbaum's death. This week they came up with their first appearances, Kendrick with a bond of 2 million US dollars, Johnson, a bond of $ 250,000. The two should appear in court next week. Creachbaum's family appeared to the courthouse on both days and demanded justice for the boy.

“They both have to be sent to prison. They need the death penalty. They have to happen what they have done to my big nephew is what should happen to them. I feel like that. I don't have the feeling that they shouldn't have any binding. You are allowed to breathe and not.

The 7-year-old is non-verbal, autistic and wheelchair-bound. Last week, the Dayton Community has become aware of child abuse against children with autism and celebrations. They decorated the McClure Street Bridge nearby, where it was found and organized a vigil in Ruskin Elementary, where Creachbaum was a student.

“The Community of Dayton, they not only appeared when they found out that he was missing, they appear now. They are still showing love now. They will not let him forget anyone. And that is so important for us and they showed Hershall on the bridge on the bridge, all of these ball goods.

While we are waiting for preliminary hearings, the von Creachbaum family encourages people to donate to children with autism for children with interests.
