Phillies do not benefit from Harper if you lose Angels – NBC Sports Philadelphia

Before the game on Friday, Trea Turner said on Friday that it was “a lot of good and a lot of bad” from the first half of the Phillies season before the All-Star break.

The same applies to your first game after the break.

The Phillies wasted a 4-1 lead and lost 6-5 against the angels. Her record fell to 55-42 and you have now lost five of your last seven games. Thanks to the loss of the MET against the Reds, they kept their lead of the halfplay in the division.

The setback on Friday was a wasteful opportunity to perform an uneven performance of the home team on a nice night for baseball in South Philadelphia.

First, the bad.

Tanner Banks gave a home run by Taylor Ward in the seventh inning, who broke a 4: 4 draw and put the angels ahead of him. It was Ward's 22nd Homerun of the season, a high -towering shot to the left midfield.

The bullpen was put into action early after Jesus Luzardo had not made it out of the fifth inning. Luzardo allowed seven goals and four deserved runs on 95 parking spaces. He served Jorge Soler and a Homer with two runs to Jo Adell. Luzardo's season -Fära rose to 4.29.

“Obviously, this loss is up to me,” said Luzardo. “To be able to injure the Bullpen a little and tax our team and our offensive. I only have a better job than that.

Luzardos June and July were a fight after a scorching first two months of the season, in which he achieved an ERA of 2.15 ERA in his first 11 starts.

“I thought he was pretty good early,” said manager Rob Thomson about Luzardo's excursion. “He threw strikes, he attacked Hitter. But when the game went on, I thought he came back a bit in counting. They also beat some good parking spaces.”

The three Homeris of the Angels have a total of 142, the second most common in the American League. “This team does that,” said Thomson. “They hit Homer. How to create runs. You have to hold the ball in the stadium.”

Mike Trout, who competed on Friday with two goals in 20 career-at-Bats in the Citizens Bank Park, got the best from Luzardo. Trout doubled and scored a run in the fourth inning before delivering an RBI single with a playful RBI in the fifth.

Despite the result, this serial opener came against the angels with their share of bright spots.

Bryce Harper has officially heated up. Harper met a Homerun with three runs and a solo shot in eighth place in the third inning, which made his first multi-home run game of the season. Harper added a double in the fifth inning and has nine additional hits in his last five games. He meets .500 (10 hits in 20 bats) in this period.

“I felt good,” said Harper. “Obviously it is a little difficult to come back from the break. She doesn't work during the break. I try to get back into the swing, and I felt really good. I try to be the best player I can and go out there and be number 3 to be my job and be one of the best in the game.”

The All-Star game MVP Kyle Schwarber raised where he stopped Classic in Midsummer and showed a solo homerun on his first swing of the game. In the first inning, Schwarber's line drives into the right field seats, which stood his season a total of 31 for the fourth highest in the baseball.

“It was pretty amazing,” said Thomson about Schwarber's explosion. “He does amazing things. After this all-star game, he was on the ball from the baseball stadium for the first time … everyone was like 'this is black'.

Jt Realmuto also stayed hot on the plate and went 2-against-4 with a double. Realmuto has several goals in seven of his last 11 games.

But the contributions of important bats were not enough. The Phillies are now turning to Taijuan Walker on Saturday evening, hoping to improve these three game series. The angels are counted with the left -hander Yusei Kikuchi. So you expect Thomson to fill a right line -up with Edmundo Sosa on the second base and Otto Kemp in the left field.
