Match Preview: San Diego Redemption Tour

On Saturday evening in Southern California, the Whitecaps in Vancouver will compete against San Diego FC in the Snapdragon stage because they try to redeem a 5: 3 loss at BC Place less than a month ago.

Vancouver has had some dynamic when they thrown 3-0 in Houston in their game a week. In the meantime, San Diego surprised the week with a loss of house against the low in Toronto FC with 1-0. San Diego no longer has Milan Iloski, who scored in the last game against Vancouver 4, since the American striker has returned from his loan to Nordsjæland in Denmark.

Regardless of the form of this week, the two best teams in the west and two of the five best teams in the table remain. Since the East is as strong as with the West, this game could be crucial for the efforts of a team to remain relevant in the SHIELD race of the trailer.

Anders Dreyer continues to have a remarkable season for SD because he has already scored 11 goals and has recorded 13 templates in 23 games. Without Iloskis 10 goals, more are asked to prevent Onni Valakari and Hirving Lozano, the latter of which were last injured when these two teams played.

Something that the Vancouver could have taken from their game against San Diego at BC Place is that San Diego can score many goals, but they were susceptible to defense. We all saw how toothless Houston was looking for during the week, and the same team scored 4: 3 4 goals against SD on July 5. Overall, San Diego was very much hit or missed games with some dominant performances, but also games in which the ship cannot keep the ship alive.

The whitecaps now looked as if they had found a winning formula against Houston by changing to a 5: 2: 3 possession, with EDIER OCAMPO and in possession of the attack. The overloads that Vancouver was able to cause real problems for Houston when Sabbi and Ocampo sometimes ran wildly. Likewise, the additional corporation at the center of the defense took out a certain pressure from Vancouver's midfield in relation to the traceaption, as this was a problem in the last games.

It will be interesting to see whether Sørensen is building on this formula or switching on things against San Diego. The home team leads MLS in possession of 59.8%. So it is fair to say that both Houston and San Diego are somewhat similar, although San Diego has much more proven attack parts.

With regard to the availability of players, Andres Cubas and Jayden Nelson came from the bank in the middle of the week, so I imagine that they can be seen for starts this weekend. Tristan Blackmon is also on the journey, but has not seen on Wednesday, so that Vancouver may rest and recover the same defensive trio. However, Ranko Veselinovic has his own concerns about his own concerns when he took a foot output during the week. It seems that we may be more closer to the kickoff about the two centerbacks, with Sørensen playing near the vest near the vest.

I think Vancouver will have learned from her experiences against San Diego and will be much sharper in this game, with some momentum in her favor. I can see how the Whitecaps keep the winning formula running and achieve a 2-1 victory in San Diego.
