One who was killed as South Korea rain mouth to 11 a.m.

At least one person was killed in South Korea on Sunday (July 20, 2025) and four missing.

Almost 170 mm Rain hit Gapyeong County in the province of Gyeonggi, 70 km east of Seoul, early Sunday (July 20, 2025).

According to official data, the total number of deaths from the five -day deluge is now at least 11 years old.

Most of the deaths were taken in the southern county of Sanchong, which since Wednesday (July 16, 2025) recorded almost 800 mm rain.

South Korea usually experiences monsoons in July and is usually well prepared. But this week, the southern regions of the country were hit by particularly intensive rains, with some of the most severe hourly precipitation showing how official weather data showed.

Scientists say that climate change has done more often and more intensive weather events worldwide.

In 2022, South Korea was rain and flooding in which at least 11 people were killed.
