The University Grants Commission of Bangladesh has taken steps to increase university education and joint research opportunities for students in Bangladeshic students at Malaysian universities.

The initiative was taken on Thursday at a meeting on international cooperation and networking between Bangladesh and Malaysien universities at the UGC in Dhaka, according to a press release.

The UGC chairman Professor SMA Faiz was present as a chief guest, while the Malaysian high commissioner of Bangladesh Mohammad Suhada Osman, professor of UGC, Professor Mohammad Tanzimuddin Khan, Professor Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Professor Md Saiden Rahman and Professor Masuma Habib, as special guests were present.

The event discussed scholarship opportunities, teacher-student exchange, joint masters, doctoral students and postgraduate programs, cooperation in the research of biotechnology and health sciences, increasing linking of the industry academy, exchange of languages and cultures, invitation of joint research applications and organizing political dialogue in university education and strengthening the task of the climate between Bangladesh and Malaysian.

The UGC chairman said Malaysia has many world-class universities. “They offer the same quality of education as universities in the western world. They have the ability to form university and research. '

It is important to solve other existing problems, including loan transmission and visa complications so that more students are given the opportunity to complete university formation in both countries, he added.

Professor Faiz illuminated the experiences of his recent educational visit to Malaysia and said that the universities in Bangladesh and Malaysia gradually improved and proven first -class education.

Suhada Osman said: “There are many opportunities for universities in Bangladesh and Malaysia to work together. Malaysia offers high -quality university formation at an affordable price. The country has 5 universities on the 100 top universities in the world rankings. '

Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology, Vice Chancellor Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, Noakhali University of Science and Technology Pro-VC Professor Mohammad Rezwanul Haque, and UGC Secretary MD Fakhrul Islam took part in the event.
