What you need to know:

It is expected that mainly cloudy skies will occur with increasing level of air humidity at night. However, the threat to a few pop-up storms is mainly in areas south and west. Most other areas will be dry.

The Storm Prediction Center puts Connecticut into the slight risk of severe storms and concentrated more in the afternoon and evening.

Sunday returns to moist and warmer conditions. There is a minor chance for a morning shower, but the main threat is in the afternoon when there is a low risk of severe storms, as suggested in the storm forecast center.

Expect a moist end at the weekend with the potential for scattered storms, some of which could be serious.
