Max Holloway told UFC Lightweight that he was difficult to get wrong

Max Holloway told UFC Lightweight that he was difficult to get wrong

UFC 318 Headliner Max Holloway does not believe that Ilia Topuria's youngest penetration of Knockouts is as impressive as many believe.

Topuria completed his promotion to two divisions at the end of the last month when he headed the UFC international pay-per-view in Las Vegas. After Topuria was adopted by his reign as King in the spring weight, he excluded Charles Oliveira at UFC 317 to collect the free light crown.

In view of the fact that the recent triumph of the Spaniard followed similar brutal victories against Alexander Volkanovski and Holloway, many think that 'El Matador' has accumulated the greatest three-fight run in UFC history.

But although it was involved in UFC 308 last October due to the successful defense of Topuria, 'Selne' sees things differently.

Renato Moicano pushes back to Max Holloway to downplay the run from Ilia Topuria

During the advertising work for Holloway's UFC 318 main event against Dustin Poirier, the current BMF champion tried to downplay Topuria's violent series.

On Volkanovskis Ko against Islam Makhachev, the Hawaiian, his hard decline in the spring weight and Oliveira's inconsistent form, to throw doubts about the newly crowned champions.

Another of the top names of the 155-pound division believes that Holloway was wrong.

“If people hadn't won the belt again, I would agree,” said Moicano about his Show me the money Podcast. “At the same time he is now a champion. So I don't agree (with Holloway).

“Max, Charles and Volkanovski. This is an impressive CV,” emphasized Moicano.

Max Holloway Targets Second Shot in Ilia Topuria in a different weight class

After pointing out his hard return to 145 pounds as one of the factors in Topurie who is the first man to break him clean, Holloway could have the chance to prove himself directly across the board.

Since both “blessed” and “El Matador” apparently have no plans to return to the spring weight department, they are now again in the same weight class.

Just as before, Holloway chased a shot in Topuria, and he was able to get closer to UFC 318 on July 19 by spoiling the retirement party of No. 6-ranking Poirians in New Orleans.

On the other hand, a third defeat against a man who is fighting around the last time would add a significant blow to his trophy cabinet for the ambitions of the Hawaiian.
