“I am the best spring weight in the world”

“I am the best spring weight in the world”

AJ McKee made it back to the gap.

The former spring weight and Grand Prix winner is one of the absolutely best fighters outside of the UFC. McKes, in his first 18 fights as a professional as a professional, defeated Bellator Goat Patricio Pitbull, Roberto de Souza and Clay Collard.

The last time we saw from AJ McKee was in October, when the Pfl signal “mercenar” suffered a shared loss of decision for the high-packed Paul Hughes.

Since then, McKee has returned to the drawing board and has finally decided to return to the spring weight department for the first time since they lost the title at Pitbull in their remaining time in 2022.

McKee had come together with an 11: 1 protégé from Khabib Nurmagomedov in his return to Pfl Cape Town, the first event of the doctorate in Africa with Champions Johnny Eblel and Dakota Ditcheva.

Akhmed Magomedov had the legendary, unbeaten UFC -Leichtweb -Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov for his fight against McKee in his corner.

Magomedov fought a decent round in the first round and controlled McKee for the majority of it.

Both men exchanged strikes on their feet to close it, and McKee injured Magomedov visibly with a step on the body in front of the bell.

Round 2 and 3 would swing more in favor of McKee when he defeated the Dagestani in the Grappling exchange and, after three rounds, went through a clear decision victory.

“I'm the best 145 Lber in the world,” said McKee after his victory.

“So who should I fight next?”

McKee improves to 23-2 as a professional. His opponent Magomedov falls 11: 2 and suffers his first loss in the plant.

Now it is fighting under the Pfl -Banner and is still difficult to forget what McKee did in Bellator MMA.

McKee gave his pro debut in Bellator in 2015 and there he grew up not only as a fighter, but also as a champion.

McKee went up to 18: 0 and won the Grand Prix in the spring weight of USD 1 million before lost in 2022 against Patricio Pitbull.

The former Bellator champion recovered with five wins in a row in lightweight compared to Razin-Champion Roberto de Souza, Spike Carlyle, Sidney Outlaw and Clay Collard.

During his first run towards the title, McKee took out the former champion Darrion Caldwell, Derek Campos, Georgi Karakhanyan and Pat Curran, whereby his curriculum vitae stands out from the others in the history of Bellator.
