Society can help check the increase in crime: ADG, HQ | Patna News

Patna: Complete ban and measures against illegal alcohol and sand trading are among the top reasons for the increase in attacks on police teams in Bihar, the additional general director (ADG), the police headquarters Kundan, told toi. What are the main reasons for the recent increase in attacks on police officers? The implementation of the complete ban has created an important black market for alcohol that leads to confrontations between law enforcement authorities and illegal operators. In addition, our approach to sandmafia has met with violent resistance. The rapid mobilization of mobs through social media during incidents, especially in the event of accidental deaths, is particularly worrying. These platforms can sometimes spread misinformation. What are the measures to counteract such attacks? We start this challenge on several fronts. First, we currently work 50% of our optimal workers. So we use a comprehensive recruitment drive – around 21,000 newly recruited employees will soon start training and we plan to add another 19,000 this year. We also focus on the expansion of our vehicle fleet for emergency supply systems. The recruitment of additional employees of the special policis from Bihar is another crucial step to strengthen our strength. What measures are taken against such attackers? We have adopted a zero tolerance guideline for such incidents. Our approach includes the quick identification of attackers with modern surveillance techniques and witness accounts. We register neighboring cases and ensure a quick probe. Our teams work hard to prepare comprehensive fee sheets for fast attempts. The focus is on securing convictions by solid evidence that is gathered and pursued. This sends a clear news that attacks on law enforcement will have serious consequences. How do you enter into this growing concern? The security of our staff has our top priority. We are currently in the process of modernizing our devices and replacing older weapons with the latest to ensure that our staff is better equipped for dangerous situations. We have also implemented a comprehensive insurance system – families of deceased civil servants can receive up to 1.5 billion rupees, while injured employees can claim up to 50 rupees. What about community policing to prevent such incidents?Community policing is absolutely important in our strategy. We are actively working on strengthening the police relationship through regular community meetings at village and Panchayat levels. These meetings serve several purposes – help us to educate people about illegal practices, to collect intelligence and to build trust and to promote a feeling of cooperation. Society plays an important role in the contraception of crime and we need its cooperation. We encourage citizens to become our eyes and ears and report suspicious activities before escalating violent confrontations. Is there a long -term strategy to tackle basic causes? The challenges that we face require a multiponge approach. While we strengthen our strength through recruitment and better equipment, the long -term solution is to build stronger shared relationships. We strive to maintain law and order and at the same time to secure the security of our staff.Patna: Complete ban and measures against illegal alcohol and sand trading are among the top reasons for the increase in attacks on police teams in Bihar, the additional general director (ADG), the police headquarters Kundan, told toi.
