The Last of Us Season 3 'planned for 2027' and could be the end of the series, says HBO boss, says HBO boss

The last of US relay 3 is “definitely planned” to come in 2027. HBO boss Casey Bloy has confirmed and a start window for the next – and possibly at the lesser – consequence of the series.

In the midst of a mixed reaction to the last second season of the last US and the subsequent departure of the Franchise creator Neil Druckmann, Bloy said that he was confident that the ability of Showrunner Craig Mazin can continue – and this is so successful despite the changes in the series.

Just how long the series will remain uncertain, Bloys continued and said there was a way that the last of us would also complete in 2027.

“The series is definitely planned for 2027,” Bloys told Variety, and evaluated the specific question whether the show would return for the 2026-2027 TV season or later.

“Craig [Mazin] Still working whether it will be two more seasons or another long season, “he continued.” It has not yet been decided and I follow Craig's leadership. “

Previously, HBO confirmed that the last of the last season 3 will now include Kaitlyn Dever as the main star after the departure of Pedro Pascals Joel and a decreasing focus on Bella Ramseys Ellie. Would the change of the main actors – especially from the first season of the series – be a challenge?

“Not from a marketing perspective,” replied Bloys, “because I think the title is obviously helped by the video game, and now the first two seasons are pretty well established. I appreciate shows that take things and make a show from a different perspective. “

While the adaptation of HBO from The Last of Us was quite close to his starting material and the increase in Kaitlyn Devers Abby as the main character may be expected, the fans were still surprised after the final of the second season when Neil Druckmann, the creator of the franchise company.

“Obviously it was great to participate in the beginning,” said Bloys about pressure. “The whole reason why I wanted to do load of us is according to Chernobyl, I said to Craig: 'What do you want to do next?' And the last of us was what he wanted to do.

In a statement published on social media, Druckmann said that he would now return his focus to Naughty Dog's next project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

“Many people don't know that Neil has a full -time job to create video games and lead a cheeky dog,” concluded Bloys. “It is a really big job he has. So I understand why he has to concentrate on it. But I think he gave us a good blueprint with the show. And obviously Craig is a professional, so I think we'll be in excellent form. I'm not worried at all.”
