The reigning Champion Colton Herta takes pole at Ontario Honda dealers Indy Toronto

Toronto – There are a few known faces in the front row of the network when the green flag falls in Toronto at the Honda dealers from Ontario Honda on Sunday.

The defending Champion Colton Herta has entered the only race of the IndyCar series outside of the United States Pole position. Alex Palou, who has a comfortable tour on the points of the Open Wheel route, is located right next to Herta at the starting line at the exhibition location.

Herta held the pole position in three of the last four races in Toronto, but only won in 2024.

“I think it's exactly what this team is able for the road courses,” said Herta about Andretti Global's call for strong shows on road courses such as Toronto. “We are still a dominant force in the league for this racing style.

“However, it was a stressful one.

Herta has the 11-gymnastics course of 2.874 kilometers around Toronto's fairgrounds-the Argonauts of the CFL, the Major League Soccer's Toronto FC, the Marlies of the American Hockey League, the professional women's hockey hockey league, and the WNBA speed in 59,8320 seconds.

It was Herta's first pole of the season and he has been profitable so far, even though he has three top 5 positions.

“We want to do it well. We strive to do better every weekend,” said Herta, when his press conference was handled and Palou went to the media center to make its. “It is a hard sport, so every little thing we let the ball fall on has a big influence.

“I just have to be head-up on Sunday and not (Expletive) give a victory.”

Palou giggled before he came to the microphone.

He dominated Indycar this season with seven wins, four Poles, 10 top pages and 11 top 10, which led a total of 442 laps. He has 515 points to put him in No. 2 before Pato O'ward's 386.

Despite the quality of his season, Palou said that the second order would be a difficult order on Sunday.

“It is never easy to start second place,” said Palou, whose best qualification round was 0.2758 seconds behind Herta's. “If the person is awake on the third, you can usually pass on the person outside.

“We will see what we can do. It's not easy to be out in the curve. To be honest, it's still great. As long as we are in the first four or five to round 1, we want to be. We can drive from there.”

Marcus Armstrong and Will Power were third and fourth.

Scott Dixon, a four-time champion in Toronto, became in qualifying 11, but Indycar announced on Friday that after the race of the last week at the Iowa Speedway, he had earned a six-position starting network for an unsubstantiated engine change.

Dixon is only the second of the seven victories by Michael Andretti for the exhibition location.

Torontos Devlin Defrancesco, the only Canadian on the net, was the 26th place.

After the training on Friday, several drivers complained about a large bump on Lake Shore Boulevard, shortly before the brake zone in turn 3rd race official withdrew overnight with mixed reviews from Herta and Palou.

“It is much better. Yes, it was pretty brutal yesterday,” said Herta. “I didn't mind because I think it adds character and so on. But it was at the border. It was very aggressive.

“I thought Indycar did a good job. I think there is no problems with it at all.”

Palou was less positive.

“(The patch) made no difference for us. I think they tried,” he said. “The good thing is that we brake past it, so it's just uncomfortable when you drive through there.

“But it wasn't smooth. You still did very, very hard.”
