When 16-year-old Alessandra tried her first wig, her smile and tears revealed everything that could not express words.

At only 6 months, Alessandra lost all hair against alopecia. Her family emphasized for years that their beauty is not defined by their difference.

But now, in Tiffany Tran Calix's studio near New Orleans, Alessandra has seen Alessandra for the first time in her memory.

“Moments like this bring us back to our purpose,” said Tiffani. “We don't just make wigs; we change life.”

Tiffani, who founded Tiffani wigs after the postpartum hair loss, works, the stigma works out of hair loss and wigs.

“Being part of such deeply personal transformations is the greatest privilege,” she said. “It humiliates me, it drives me and it constantly reminds me of how strong beauty and self -confidence really are.”
