Newton, Iowa (AP) – The Indycar driver Nolan Siegel was not cleared on Sunday at the Iowa Speedway because a mild concussion had suffered the day before in an accident.

The 20-year-old Arrow McLaren driver crashed in the first race of the two-day Indycar double header from Iowa. Arrow McLaren's teammate, Pato O'Ward, won the race on Saturday for his first win of the season and the first for McLaren this year and the first for Chevrolet.

McLaren decided not to lead the No. 6 Chevrolet, which the seal qualified fifth on Sunday. The team said Siegel would continue to be rated in Toronto the next weekend.

“There is no place that I would rather be outside than today, especially from one of my best starting positions of the season,” said Siegel. “I know that with the Indycar Medical team I am in good hands and thank you for the great care that you provide us with drivers.”
