Experience 75 minutes of cat videos on the projector

What’s better than watching adorable cat compilation videos? Doing just that while helping the local cat community. On October 26, local independent cinema chain The Projektor at Cineisure will bring Cat Video Fest, an American-born social festival, to the ailurophile community in Singapore for the first time. For $25, join the thousands who have seen the film in over 350 theaters across the US, Canada and Europe. You will be pleased to know that part of the ticket proceeds will also be donated to the foundation Cat Protection Societyin keeping with the festival’s goal of raising money for cats in need through partnerships with local cat charities.

Contrary to its name, Cat Video Fest is more like a watch party than a traditional festival, allowing audiences to watch a 75-minute curated collection of cat videos culled from unique submissions, animations, music videos and viral internet memes on the big time Canvas. Will Braden, the festival’s founder and curator, watches about 15,000 cat videos each year to find the best ones to present. Since its first edition, more than $200,000 has been raised for cat welfare and this is the sixth consecutive year the festival has been held. Sit back and enjoy the film’s presentation of unique cat magic that has never been seen before and is exclusive to the festival. Talk about a dopamine rush.

The show starts at 5:00 p.m., but you’ll want to get there early to shop for all your cat-themed essentials at the Cat Welfare Society’s pop-up merchandise stand. There will even be a best dressing competition for the best cat cosplay with exciting prizes to be won. Even better – there will also be a cat adoption event where you can meet the cutest kittens in need of a home. Maybe you’ll just leave the theater with a new furry friend in tow. Get your tickets Here.
