Trades can be made immediately in Week 8 of fantasy football

Trades can be made immediately in Week 8 of fantasy football

Week 8 is here and it’s time to take some steps!

Be sure to contact the managers who lost Chris Godwin and Brandon Aiyuk this week. If you are the manager who lost one of these stud receivers, see what capital you have to get a solid receiver in return.

Puka Nacua, Christian McCaffrey and Nico Collins should return in the coming weeks. Think ahead and plan how you will make space for them once they are no longer on IR. On the other hand, if you have the IR space, consider making offers to a team in need.

Your window is closing to buy cheaply from De’Von Achane, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, as Tua is expected to return as early as this week.

Here are three players worth targeting low and three more worth selling high.

RB Rhamondre Stevenson, Patriots

Stevenson was limited by a foot problem and ran for just 18 yards on seven carries against the Jaguars in London. Still, he played the same number of snaps as Antonio Gibson and JaMycal Hasty combined, and Gibson also seemed pretty wacky in this contest.

According to Rotowire, the Patriots have the eighth-easiest remaining schedule for running backs.

WR DeAndre Hopkins, Titans

There’s been a lot of buzz about Hopkins being a trade candidate, and there are plenty of places where Hopkins could make an impact. Tampa Bay and Kansas City are both likely to be put to the test with Tennessee. The Hopkins manager is willing to let him go for a song after Hopkins posted negative points in Week 7.

If Hopkins isn’t traded, there’s still hope. Tennessee’s receivers have the most manageable fantasy schedule remaining for the remainder of the season.

WR Malik Nabers, Giants

After a hot start to the season that saw the rookie receiver finish in the top six at the position three times in the first four games, Nabers missed two games with a concussion and then returned to assist on just 4 of 8 goals from Daniel catching Jones for 41 yards in Week 7. The Nabers manager might get nervous.

Nabers has the sixth-best schedule for wideouts going forward, although this week’s matchup with the Steelers will be more difficult. If he performs well against Pittsburgh, it will be impossible to move him, so try to make your offers now.

RB Javonte Williams, Broncos

Williams had a huge game against the Saints last Thursday and will likely have another against the Panthers this week. Be sure to remind your trading partner that the Panthers are allowing opposing running backs an average of 28 points per game this season, the most in the league.

Don’t mention to your trade partner that the Broncos have the seventh-most difficult schedule for runners and that Williams was averaging just 3.61 yards per carry before Thursday. That number looks much better today (4.16).

WR Keon Coleman, Bills

Coleman had a huge day in Week 7, going 4 of 7 for 125 yards against the Titans.

However, he is still on a committee and Amari Cooper will become more involved once he has more time to integrate into the offense.

Here’s what you tell your trade partner: Amari Cooper opens on Coleman, the rookie receiver the Bills drafted with their first pick. You have plans for him.

Here’s the truth: Amari Cooper was on the field for exactly zero of Coleman’s targets in Week 7.

RB Tank Bigsby, Jaguars

I love tanks. I want to make this clear. However, if you have tank, today may be the highest return value you can get if you need someone at another position. He has finished in the top 8 at the position twice in the last three weeks, with an RB1 finish in Week 5.

The fact is: Even though Tank is currently the Jaguars’ best runner, Travis Etienne isn’t going away. Let’s not forget that Etienne had 12 touchdowns in 2023. Once Etienne is fully healthy, this backcourt will be split up. Additionally, the Jaguars have the fifth-toughest running back roster for the remainder of the season.
