Harris dodges questions about Biden’s decline

President Joe Biden and Senator Bernie Sanders joined forces at an event in Concord, New Hampshire, on Tuesday afternoon to announce a new report showing that Medicare enrollees will receive nearly $1 billion so far in 2024 through the Inflation Reduction Act -Saved dollars on prescription medications.

Biden warned that this progress could be wiped out if Trump wins in November.

“Trump and the MAGA Republicans want to repeal the Inflation Reduction Act we’re talking about, the big bill that made all of these savings possible and drove up prescription drug prices again for millions of Americans,” he said.

Biden said Trump and Republicans had tried to replace the Affordable Care Act 51 times and mocked the former president for only having a “concept of a plan.”

Biden said that if Harris is not elected, Trump will “take 45 million people off their health insurance,” give tax breaks to the richest Americans, abolish the Department of Education and dismantle Social Security and Medicare.

“It will hurt hard-working people,” he said.
