Nobody wanted the new game from The Day Before makers – so they just announced the next one

Fntastic had already released a similar game, Propnight, in 2021.

The studio behind the disastrous survival shooter The Day Before is making headlines again.

Despite the fiasco surrounding their zombie shooter and the harsh criticism of their work, the team shows an almost brazen persistence.

As we know, the developers are back, and this time they had big plans for a new game called Escape Factory, which would be funded through a Kickstarter campaign. But as became apparent early on, the attempt to collect 15,000 euros failed miserably.

And because no one quickly wanted their game, they simply announced another one.

Escape Factory’s flop

Escape Factory was planned as a multiplayer game in the style of Fall Guys. But the community’s interest was minimal, which was also reflected in the Kickstarter campaign.

They were only able to attract 50 supporters, who together only contributed 2,210 euros – far from the goal.

The studio pulled the emergency brake and suspended development of Escape Factory indefinitely. But in true Fntastic style, that wasn’t the end, but rather the starting signal for their next project.

As soon as Escape Factory was officially closed, the studio announced a new game: Items. This is an action-horror game that relies on a prop hunt mode.
