New Battlepass, buffs and more

VALORANT enters the final phase of Episode 9 with the end of Act II. Now Act III will include a new Battle Pass, a Competitive Rank reset, new armor, and many other updates. Here’s everything we know about Episode 9 Act III, including release times, Battle Pass content, and more!

VALORANT’s Episode 9 Act III will be released on October 23, 2024 at 9 a.m. EST (Eastern Time).). The exact time of the update depends on the server location and the player’s time zone. Here’s a handy list of equivalent release times:

The Episode 9 Act III Battle Pass includes three skin lines as well as sprays, gun buddies, titles and player cards. The Torque detection is the main line and includes Vandals, Operators, Specters and Classics with dark but colorful designs. It also includes a unique melee knife and is available in four variants. The Bulletbox collection is black, pink, green and purple and features graffiti-like motifs. After all, that’s it Nanobreak collection is an electric blue and orange variant of VALORANT’s original matte black skins.

Like every new VALORANT Act, Episode 9, Act III will reset player ranks. VALORANT competitive players will return to Unranked status when the law begins. To regain their previous rank, they must play a placement game in the competitive queue. The player’s rank may change slightly depending on their performance.

A new armor category, Regen Shields, will be available in the VALORANT Shop. Riot Games has not yet confirmed any information about these shields. However, from a video with the concept we can conclude that the shields will contain two charges with 25 health each. These charges regenerate after either surviving a certain amount of time unscathed or being killed.

Agent buffs and nerfs

Agents such as Phoenix, Yoru and Gekko will be updated in Episode 9, Act III. Phoenix is ​​getting a huge buff in patch 9.10, allowing him to recharge his Curveball Lightning after two kills and to throw his Blaze Wall through obstacles. Yoru also enjoys a slight buff, while many Gekko abilities, including Thrash and Dizzy, are nerfed.

New TDM card

A new team deathmatch (TDM) map, Glitch, is now available in VALORANT. The map is inspired by a broken bot arena and helps players warm up their aiming and dueling skills.
