Women’s Basketball 2024-25 Action Plan Announced

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The 2024-25 West Virginia University women’s basketball home action plan was announced Wednesday by the WVU Athletics Marketing Department.

PROMOTIONS FOR THE WHOLE SEASON:
Teas for 3: After every Mountaineer 3-pointer this season, t-shirts courtesy of the Mountaineer Maniacs will be thrown into the crowd.

SINGLE PLAY ACTIONS:

Tuesday, November 5th^Th vs. Towson – HOME OPENER/TOY MOUNTAIN TOY DRIVE
Join the Mountaineers as they start their season! Fans will have the opportunity to get their hands on the 2024-25 schedule poster for the first time! The team also collects toy donations outside the gates for the annual Toy Mountain Toy Drive.



Saturday November 9th^Th vs. Niagara – MILITARY RECOGNITION DAY/FAMILY DAY
Join the women’s basketball team as we honor veterans and service members on Veterans Day. Fans can also take the whole family and save! Purchase a Family Day ticket package with four tickets and a $10 discount voucher for just $25!



Tuesday, November 12th^Th vs. Pitt – BACKYARD BRAWL/GOLD RUSH
The Backyard Brawl comes to Morgantown as the Mountaineers take on the Panthers! The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive gold shakers. Additionally, all fans are encouraged to wear GOLD at the annual Gold Rush game against Pitt.



Friday, November 15th^Th vs. Texas A&M-COAL RUSH
It’s coal rush time as the Mountaineers take on the Aggies! All fans in attendance will receive a black rally towel. Weekday Happy Hour is open doors open until tipped, with select drinks and concessions available at half price! Additionally, all fans are encouraged to wear BLACK at the Coal Rush vs. Texas A&M game.



Tuesday, November 19th^Th vs. Bowling Green – SENIOR DITCH NIGHT
All senior groups of 10 or more who are over 60 years old will receive group entry prices for the game. Those who attend the game will receive a coffee mug with the WVU women’s basketball logo.



Friday, November 22nd^nd vs. Lafayette – A Bad Night at the Colosseum
Shiz University is coming to Morgantown! Enjoy an evening of fun from the Land of Oz as the Mountaineers celebrate the blockbuster film WICKED! Fans in attendance will receive a special commemorative poster and have a chance to win Wicked-themed prizes throughout the evening!



Friday, December 6th^H vs. East Tennessee State – EDUCATIONAL DAY GAME
An exciting day of education and basketball returns as every participating student can attend a college basketball game for free and receive an educational workbook full of questions, games and more! Wednesday, January 1st^st vs. UCF – BRING YOUR PARENTS TO GAME DAY
Bring the whole family and save! Purchase a Family Day ticket package with four tickets and a $10 discount voucher for just $25! Do you have a team of 10 or more people? Bring them and save on tickets! The first 200 children in attendance will receive an exclusive WV lunch box!



Saturday, January 6th^Th vs. BYU – KELLOGG’S CLUB DAY
Kellogg’s Club members are invited to the game to participate in a pre-game tunnel as the team runs onto the field! Happy Hour applies from door open until tip, with select drinks and concessions available at half price! The first 500 fans in attendance will receive replica basketball court slap koozies.



Wednesday, January 15th^Th vs. Colorado-COLISEUM GOES COUNTRY
Grab your cowboy boots for this weeknight Big 12 matchup when the Coliseum goes on the road. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a custom WV cowboy hat. Weekday Happy Hour is open doors open until tipped, with select drinks and concessions available at half price!



Sunday, January 19th^Th vs. Iowa State – TRUE BLUE/JERRY WEST DAY
All fans in attendance are encouraged to wear blue at the annual TRUE BLUE game! The Mountaineers will also honor WVU legend Jerry West throughout the game. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive blue shakers and #44 buttons.



Saturday, February 1st^st vs. Oklahoma State – PINK GAME/ALUMNI DAY/POSTGAME AUTOGRAPHS
The annual Pink Game, presented by the WVU Cancer Institute, will be held on Saturday, February 1st^st against Oklahoma State at 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear PINK to support the fight against breast cancer. All former team members will be invited back to Morgantown and honored at halftime. Stick around and get autographs from the team after the game!



Wednesday, February 5th^Th vs. Kansas – “I BELONG” DIVERSITY & INCLUSION GAME/BLACK HISTORY MONTH CELEBRATION
WVU will host its annual “I Belong” game on Wednesday, February 5, to celebrate diversity and inclusion. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive an “I Belong” button. The Mountaineers will also honor Black History Month with NPAC Night. At halftime, the Mountaineers will recognize all NPAC fraternities and sororities for their work on campus. It is also Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night and all WVU employees receive free admission with a valid employee ID card.

Join us as we honor the graduating class of 2025 with a pre-game ceremony!

Monday, February 17th^Th vs. Kansas State – GOLD RUSH
It’s called the Gold Rush against the Wildcats. All fans in attendance will receive a gold “Let’s Go” Mountaineers poster. Additionally, all fans are encouraged to wear GOLD at the annual Gold Rush game against Iowa State. Weekday Happy Hour is open doors open until tipped, with select drinks and concessions available at half price!
