The principal of Scott High School is under investigation

Anthony Procaccino, principal of Scott High School, is “the subject of a Kenton County police investigation into inappropriate and potentially illegal conduct by minors off school property,” according to Kenton County Commonwealth’s Attorney Rob Sanders.

In an email to LINK nky, Sanders added: “To my knowledge, the allegations do not involve anything sexual.”

Jess Dykes, director of public information and community engagement for the Kenton County School District, told LINK nky that the district is aware of the investigation.

“This is a personnel matter,” Dykes said. “We are cooperating with the police.”

Cody Wolf, assistant principal at Scott High School, has been named interim principal.

Procaccino was named principal of Scott High School on July 1, 2024, according to a tweet from the district. Previously, he served as principal of White’s Tower Elementary School for 10 years.

During his stay at White’s Tower, Procaccino was named in a negligence lawsuit filed in 2021, according to court documents. The lawsuit alleges that a student at the elementary school repeatedly attempted to harm himself while attending school and that the school and its leaders were negligent as a result.

Two teachers were named in the lawsuit, along with Procaccino, who as principal was “given the responsibility of overseeing the conduct of teacher aides,” the lawsuit says.

The lawsuit is ongoing; An affidavit in the case was filed the same day Procaccino was named principal at Scott.

Dykes said the district has no comment on the ongoing lawsuit.
