Real Madrid have suffered two serious injuries ahead of the Clasico against Barcelona.

Real Madrid have suffered two serious injuries ahead of the Clasico against Barcelona.

On Tuesday, Los Blancos overcame a 2-0 deficit to beat Borussia Dortmund 5-2 at the Santiago Bernabeu thanks to a hat-trick from Vinicius Junior.

Having already shot a ball to equalize, Vinicius picked up the ball in his own half, burst down the left flank, beat Emre Can with pace before moving onto his right foot and from there firing a shot into the bottom corner fired edge of the box.

For his third goal, the Brazilian slalomed past three defenders and then hammered the shot into the net.

Real’s victory and Vinicius’ outstanding performance will give Madridistas confidence as they take on Barcelona at the Bernabeu on Saturday.

However, Carlo Ancelotti’s side will be depleted for the Clasico with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Rodrygo both missing.

Courtois has suffered a muscle injury and is expected to miss two weeks, including Saturday’s El Clasico.

The Belgium international played the entire Champions League game against Dortmund on Tuesday, but the club have since confirmed that he suffered “an injury to the adductor muscle of his left leg.”

The 32-year-old ex-Chelsea keeper will be replaced in the starting line-up by Andriy Lunin, who played 31 games for Real last season while Courtois was out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Meanwhile, The Athletic reported that Brazilian winger Rodrygo has also picked up an injury and will not be available for this weekend’s game.

The publication added that the player is scheduled to undergo an MRI scan on Thursday, after which the club will have a clear picture of the extent of his injury.

Barcelona are currently three points clear of Real at the top of La Liga.
