This week, ahead of Gameweek 9, FPL Salah will share his top three FPL difference tips that can help you shoot up the ranks in the coming weeks.

FPL differential tips for Gameweek 9

Alejandro Garnacho (£6.2m) – Manchester United – 7.9%

Fixtures: West Ham (A)

The Argentine was probably Manchester United’s best player and is currently the best point collector with two goals and one assist (30 points).

He has also started the last four games and played 90 minutes, so he looks pretty good in the starting XI.

Garnacho has recorded an impressive 15 shots in the penalty area and an xG of 2.8, which is the highest among his teammates. Manchester United have been poor this season but improved significantly in their 2-1 win over Brentford last week. They also face West Ham this week, who have been porous at the back.

The Hammers have conceded the fourth most goals (15) with an xGC of 12.8 (last eight) and are 15th in the league after eight games.

Erik ten Hag’s side will be favorites to win and Garnacho looks to be their brightest spark. They also have good dates ahead of them, with three home games in the next five: West Ham (A), Chelsea (H), Leicester City (H), Ipswich (A) and Everton (H).

At just £6.2 million it represents excellent value for money and won’t be too difficult to acquire.

Nikola Milenković (£4.5m) – Nottingham Forest – 0.8% owned

Game plan: Wolves (H)

Nikola Milenković was a great addition for Nottingham Forest, strengthening an already strong defense. Last season Forest finished as the fourth best defense in the league in terms of xGC and this season they have shown again that this was no fluke. So far they have only conceded six goals (second fewest) and even have the second best xGC (7.7).

This makes their defenders fantastic value not only for this week but also in the long run. Milenković is well positioned in this defensive line from the start and also has the greatest goal threat from defense. He has four shots in the penalty area with an xG of 1.1 and already has one assist to his name.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side play Leicester in Gameweek 9, who will do very well to pick something up here.

This is a game where the Serbian defender has the opportunity to score points at both ends of the pitch. With a budget of £4.5 million, he is also a good player in the long term, especially when you look at Forest’s upcoming games. In the next five games they play against Leicester (A), West Ham (H), Newcastle United (H) and Ipswich (H).

Iliman Ndiaye (£5.4m) – Everton – 1.2% owned

Fixtures: Fulham (H)

Iliman Ndiaye has had a great start to the season for Everton and remains relatively under the radar. He has scored two goals so far and is also getting a lot of minutes.

The 24-year-old seems to be a good player, even if he plays for Everton, who are not particularly dangerous in front of goal.

Everton have great games through to Gameweek 14, starting with Fulham at home in Gameweek 9, and Ndiaye is also a great enabler at his price. As an eighth attacker, he’s definitely worth rotating with another player, and his affordable price means you can bolster other areas of your squad.

In 144 career games, the Senegal international has scored 29 goals and 19 assists. He also scored 14 goals and 11 assists for Sheffield United in the Championship in the 2022/23 season.

Therefore, he knows where the goal is and can also give you assists.

Ndiaye should do well in the medium term where the Toffees play Fulham (H), Southampton (A), West Ham (A), Brentford (H) and Wolves (H).
