Metal Slug Tactics gets a release date – Cinelinx

Dotemu has announced exactly when fans will be able to play Metal Slug Tacticsand faster than you think.

It feels like we’ve been waiting a while Metal Slug Tacticsbut the wait will soon be over. In a new trailer for the game, the developers announced that it would be released November 5th!

The launch date trailer introduces three additional playable characters in tough gameplay, each bringing a unique set of abilities to combat:

• Clark Still: Originally from the Ikari Warriors series and previously playable in Metal Slug 6, Clark’s immense strength and wrestling experience allows this tank-like ally to move enemies around the map and deal long-range, status-inducing damage.
• Ralf Jones: Also returning to battle from the Ikari Warriors series and Metal Slug 6, Ralf is a master of hand-to-hand combat, capable of dealing devastating blows and possessing the ability to charge at enemies head-on like a raging bull.
• Leona Heidern: A new addition to the Ikari Warriors, Leona is a revered fighter who can replace fallen enemies with decoy allies. It can distract and overwhelm enemy forces by uniquely dominating the combat zone.

Plans for a physical release of Metal Slug Tactics were also confirmed today; Tacticians can expect to receive full information on where to secure their copy at a later date. The original Metal Slug Tactics soundtrack composed entirely by Tee Lopes (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Sonic Mania, Mr and as a physical vinyl release via Kid Katana Records.

Metal Slug Tactics is both a respectful homage to an all-time classic and an imaginative new way to celebrate the iconic series, channeling METAL SLUG’s timeless aesthetic through beautiful pixel art and fluid animation. Combining mixed layouts of hand-crafted terrain sections with subtle roguelite elements, the game’s highly replayable battlefields force players to adapt and overcome unpredictable clashes as they master dynamic, strategic combat.

Metal Slug Tactics will be released on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch and PCs November 5, 2024.
