Why Chris Jericho thinks his best match could still be on the horizon

Chris Jericho believes his best game may not have happened yet.

With over 30 years of experience in the wrestling business, Jericho has competed against some of the greatest greats of all time and has had notable matches against the likes of Shawn Michaels, CM Punk and Kenny Omega, to name a few.

With Jericho now in his 50s, many expected the former world champion to think about this final match before ending his already memorable career in the ring. However, according to Jericho, there are still no signs of slowing down and there might even be room for another all-time classic.

Published onThe Adam Carolla Show, Jericho talked about his career and was asked what he thought was the biggest match of his career. In response, Jericho stated that the best match might be one yet to come:

“I still wrestle in this business. In fact, I wrestled last week. I still enjoy the work. I had a great match just last Saturday against a guy named Mark Briscoe. But I mean, Shawn Michaels was a great opponent, The Rock was a great opponent, Jon Moxley, there’s a whole list of people that I’ve enjoyed working with over the years.

But I’m still in the middle, I’m still fighting. So it’s hard to say, ‘That was the best game ever,’ when all I can say is, ‘Maybe the best game is yet to come.’ Who knows.”

What’s new on Chris Jericho’s contract?

Wrestling contracts continued to make headlines throughout the year, with many top stars opting to become free agents and explore other opportunities. In a recent update, the expiration date of Chris Jericho’s contract was announced, as well as the possibility of an extension.
