Dave Chappelle and Killer Mike plan to co-headline the “Still Talkin That Sh*t” tour

Stand-up superstar Dave Chappelle and influential rapper/activist Killer Miketogether with Mike’s gospel accompaniment ensemble, The Mighty Midnight Revivalhave announced a co-headlining tour for 2024 I’m still talking about this shit [ticketing details].

According to a press release, each of the seven stops is on the Live NationThe tour he is producing will feature “a fusion of music and comedy in one set.” The tour begins on Friday, November 15th in Detroit, Michigan and then heads to major theaters in Atlanta, GA (11/7), Rosemont, IL (11/18), Boston, MA (11/20), New York, NY (11/21), Oakland, CA (11/23) and Long Beach, CA (11/24).

As with most of Chappelle’s shows, viewers’ phones and other connected devices are packaged in Yondr bags for the duration of each show. The announcement states: “This event will be a phone-free experience. The use of phones, smartwatches and accessories is not permitted in the performance space. Upon arrival at the venue, all phones, smartwatches and accessories will be placed in individual Yondr bags, which will be opened at the end of the event. Guests will retain possession of their devices at all times and will only be able to access them in designated telephone use areas within the venue throughout the event. All equipment will be secured back into Yondr bags before returning to the performance space. Anyone using a device (phone, smartwatch or accessory) during the performance will be escorted out of the venue by security. We thank you for your cooperation in creating a phone-free experience.”

Dave Chappelle has received virtually every award possible as a comedian. In addition to his famous Comedy Central Program, Cappelle’s showhis award-winning guest appearances Saturday Night Liveand his steady stream of Grammy-winning comedy specials/albums, he recently expanded his activities as co-producer of The Midnight Miraclea podcast that he co-hosts with rappers Talib Kweli And Yasiin Bey (Black Star). Chappelle is no stranger to live collaborations with musicians, having previously hosted mixed music/comedy shows with all sorts John Mayer To Robert Glasper. The comedian has often faced backlash in recent years for his repeated jokes and ongoing discussions about various marginalized groups, particularly transgender people.

Killer Mike, real name Michael Renderhas been praised for everything from his wild rhymes to his political activism. In 2020 he was awarded with billboardThe first Change Maker Award. In 2023 his acclaimed album 2023 was released, MICHAELearned him three Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album. While Killer Mike has been an active solo artist for over 20 years, he is also widely known as part of the popular hip hop duo Run the jewels with his partner in rhyme EL-P.
