HOUSTON – This week, Oct. 24-27, two members of Temple’s men’s tennis team will compete in the AAC Singles Championships hosted by Rice University at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.

In individual combat Martim Marujo And Adam Kresina will represent the owls. The duo will also play doubles together.

Scouting Temple:

  • The Portuguese-born Marujo got off to a good start in the fall 2024 season, securing the top division Crimson Draw in the Saint Joseph’s Invitational together with Kresina. Finished the 2023-24 season strong, earning a spot on the AAC All-Academic Team. Played 13 of 16 doubles matches at No. 2 singles. He achieved a remarkable double success with 3:2.
  • With a strong fall 2024 season, Czech native Kresina teamed with Marujo to win the high-profile Crimson Draw doubles at the Saint Joseph’s Invitational with three wins. Earned a spot on the 2023-24 AAC All-Academic Team and led the team in singles as a freshman, recording 9 overall wins with a record of 9-7.

NEXT

The Owls return to West Philadelphia for the Drexel Invitational November 1-3. The tournament starts on Friday and ends on Sunday.
