Dispute over the loading of potatoes leads to a truck driver being arrested for an air pistol

A truck driver was arrested after brandishing a pellet gun during an argument with a passenger.

The incident occurred on October 20 at Allied Potato on Interstate 182 in Pasco, Washington.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, two drivers were loading potatoes when they got into an argument. One of the drivers then pulled out a gun and began waving it around during the argument before eventually driving away.

Police were called and officers eventually found the truck driver traveling on 4th Street and about to exit onto I-182. Officers pulled him over at what was considered a “high-risk” stop, but the investigation revealed the driver’s weapon was a 1911 air pistol.

Police still took the truck driver into custody on a charge of brandishing a firearm and he was booked into the Franklin County Jail.

No further information about the incident was released.
