Inter lose another player to injury ahead of their key game against Juventus

BERN, Switzerland (AP) — Inter Milan has lost another player to injury ahead of a crucial Serie A game this weekend.

Carlos Augusto was sent off early in the second half of Inter’s Champions League game against Young Boys on Wednesday after the defender sat up with a grimace and grabbed the back of his left thigh.

Carlos Augusto is likely to have a hamstring strain, which will almost certainly rule him out of Inter’s home game against Juventus on Sunday.

Inter have already been without key players Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Francesco Acerbi after both were forced off with muscle problems in Sunday’s game at Roma.

Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi had opted to rest other regular players such as Lautaro Martínez, Marcus Thuram and Federico Dimarco for the game against Young Boys, although he was forced to substitute Dimarco for Carlos Augusto.
