Conor McGregor wants to break into the video game industry again.

After fighting in MMA (and once in boxing) throughout his career, McGregor developed a passion for the sport of bare-knuckle boxing and made BKFC a part-owner of the company and perhaps a fighter in the future.

Until then, McGregor is doing his part as a promoter, claiming a BKFC video game is in the works after seeing himself in the virtual worlds of UFC 5 And Call of duty.

“Those two are pretty good, to be fair,” McGregor said of his similarity in video game titles. “I’m currently working on one [BKFC] Video game! Fast-paced action with nasty cuts and blood splatters and the sound of bare knuckles hitting skulls like you’ve never heard or seen in a video game before. Stay tuned!”

The idea of a bare knuckle boxing video game is largely unknown, but we’ve seen something similar before when a fan pointed out this boxing title Fight Night Champion features a bare-knuckle boxing mode with matching blood splatters and crackling sound effects.

Founded in 2018, BKFC is still a relatively new promotion in the fight business, but a welcome one. More and more states have begun legalizing bare-knuckle boxing events, making BKFC the fastest-growing combat sports promotion on the card, with former UFC stars and boxers alike including Mike Perry and Austin Trout, two fighters who would be a head-turner for the first cover of the BKFC video game.

After breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, Conor McGregor was banned from UFC competition for years and has recently become heavily involved with BKFC. A week ago, he attended the promotion’s first stop in Marbella, Spain, doubling the bonuses for main event fighters Franco Tenaglia and Tony Soto.
