Randall Tennis flips the script for Wimberley and advances to the state championship

WACO, Texas (KFDA) – The Randall Raider tennis team is returning to the state championship for the second time in three years. A close game in the semifinals against the Wimberley Texans, but the Raiders prevailed 10-8.

To make things even sweeter, Wimberley knocked out Randall in the same round last year to advance and win the state championship.

The Raiders’ boys’ and girls’ doubles both won two of their three matches, the boys’ singles went in Wimberley’s favor (5 of 6), but the Raiders’ girls took care of business.

It would have been a clean win for all six, but the game for Gabby Dishong was called off after freshman Abri Hays scored the tenth and final point to secure the Raider victory.
