Black Friday is just a few weeks away, officially starting on November 29th this year, but we don’t have to wait until then for great deals. We’re currently looking at Apple Watch deals that are available earlier than usual on the major websites. Apple Watch Series 9 [GPS 45mm] – $329 $429 23% discount

Apple Watch Series 9 is the one that introduced the unique double tap feature where you can tap your index finger and thumb on your watch hand at the same time to quickly access some features of the watch. In our Apple Watch Series 9 review, the reviewer didn’t seem to need to use the feature all that often, as it’s only an occasional feature. However, they noted that this watch is an excellent first Apple Watch if you’re just looking to get one. What’s worth noting is that this deal price of $329 is the same price we got after the last Prime sale, so it’s unlikely to go down later.

The Apple Watch Series 10 is really new and has only just gone on sale. At 7% off we still don’t get much of a discount, but we’ve broken the $400 barrier on the 46mm version. As explained in our Apple Watch Series 10 review, the watch has a bright OLED screen with a wide viewing angle. You might also like the speaker, which is pretty loud.

Apple Watch Ultra 2 [GPS + Cellular 49mm] – $680 $799 15% discount

Despite the high price, this is the deal to get if you want an Apple Watch at a good discount. To put it in perspective, we found this watch for $749 after the last Prime event, but it’s now for $680, a savings of an additional $69. Plus, as shown in our Apple Watch Ultra 2 review, this watch has a large, bright screen that looks absolutely fantastic.

How to choose an Apple Watch on Prime Day

In many ways, choosing an Apple Watch on Prime Day is like setting a budget for everything else. Get the best you can depending on your budget. The Apple Watches SE 2 and Series 9 will be the cheaper watches for several reasons. Firstly, the SE 2 is designed to be slightly cheaper and give you the basic needs of a smartwatch without being particularly fancy. Then the Series 9 is an “older” model, after the Series 10 is available, making it ripe for offers. If your budget is a little higher, look for one of the Ultra watches.

The next point of interest is the comparison between the Apple Watch 9 and the Apple Watch 10. The Series 10 might be a great watch if you’re looking for the absolute latest watch, but it’s not necessarily a great upgrade if you already own one 9. For example, the newer of the two watches does not have blood oxygen monitoring, at least currently. This means that if you already have the 9 and want to upgrade, you may want to “skip” to an Ultra version instead.

Given the limited number of Apple Watch models available today, it wasn’t too hard to pick these offerings. The most important thing was to find models that people were likely to want and use, look at sites like Best Buy and Amazon that offer reliable product distribution, and then find the best price available.
