As Infobae reports, Nores, a 35-year-old Argentine businessman and Payne’s manager, was present at the tragic incident at the CasaSur Hotel. Nores, who is linked to controversial business dealings with Stoneway Capital and Araucaria Energy, faces allegations of financial misconduct and environmental violations related to energy deals struck during Mauricio Macri’s presidency.

Stoneway Capital, led by Nores, filed for bankruptcy in 2020 after defaulting on a $220 million loan. His rapid financial rise, as well as his ties to former Argentine finance minister Luis Caputo, have raised questions about his business ethics and criminal past. To add to the intrigue, Nores was photographed with Maya Henry’s mother in 2021 before meeting Payne.
