Metal Slug Tactics official release date announced along with trailer, physical copy and characters

Metal Slug Tactics was announced for November 5, 2024 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One. Publisher Dotemu released a trailer with the release date and other information.

Based on the trailer, there will be playable characters. IGN gave more details on each one.

• Ikari Warriors Clark Still: Originally from the Ikari Warriors series and previously playable in Metal Slug 6, Clark’s immense strength and wrestling experience allows this tank-like ally to move enemies around the map and deal long-range, status-inducing damage.
• Ralf Jones: Also returning to battle from the Ikari Warriors series and Metal Slug 6, Ralf is a master of hand-to-hand combat, capable of dealing devastating blows and possessing the ability to charge at enemies head-on like a raging bull.
• Leona Heidern: A new addition to the Ikari Warriors, Leona is a revered fighter who can replace fallen enemies with alluring allies. It can distract and overwhelm enemy forces by uniquely dominating the combat zone.

In addition to these three characters, Marco, Tarma, Eri and Fiolina will be playable. Nine characters have been named, but at the time of this article two are still unknown.

According to Noisypixel, the company is focused on RPG combat and “players can look forward to 110 hand-crafted maps and 20 types of missions.” In addition, there will be 36 different weapons and 176 weapon mods.”

An original soundtrack by Tee Lopes is also in the works and available on Steam.
