A second, separate report of “possible beverage tampering” has been released, according to a University of Oregon report opinion earlier today.

The report comes two days after the university announced that a student received a “unknown substance” may have been poured into her drink at a fraternity party hosted by Alpha Tau Omega on October 18th. The latest report was also made on October 18th.

The most recent report did not specify where the “drink tampering” took place, but noted that one of the events the student attended was hosted by Kappa Sigma, an independent fraternity at the UO.

The KSig fraternity is unaffiliated due to Violations violates student conduct and community standards through hazing of new members, noncompliance, alcohol consumption, underage possession or consumption, disruptive behavior and safety hazards and is currently facing a four-year suspension.

This has resulted in the university no longer receiving any “support or advice” and they are no longer able to participate in “university-sponsored activities”.

UO clarified in today’s statement that the “reported drug use” related to ATO at 594 E. 16th Ave. and did not take place in the chapter house of the brotherhood.

The statement also said there was “no indication” that this report was linked to the ATO party.

This story is current and will be updated.
