Steve Kerr makes important decision about Golden State Warriors rotation

Steve Kerr makes important decision about Golden State Warriors rotation

Steve Kerr spent all of training camp using only 10 players in his rotation. Suddenly, on Wednesday evening, he was playing against 12 players. Even though it was sudden, it’s a decision Kerr is sticking with.

After Golden State’s win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, Kerr addressed his rotation decision to the media.

“I’ve never played 12 before [players] “But we’ll get there,” Kerr said. “It’s not easy for anyone, but we just have to trust from one night to the next that we can find combinations that really work. “The guys really need to understand that some nights are their nights and some nights are not, and that’s okay .”

Even though the Golden State Warriors don’t have an All-Star to play with in Steph Curry, Kerr has high hopes for the team. He believes they will be one to bring the energy that fans will appreciate.

“As long as we continue to play together and play hard,” Kerr said. “I think it will be a really entertaining team for our fans. She plays on both sides of the ball, has a lot of energy, they like each other, the ball moves, it’s fun to watch them play.”

Because as unexpected as Steve Kerr’s decision seemed at first glance, it came about even more spontaneously behind the scenes. He actually made the rotation decision the day before the premiere.

“Two days ago I was thinking about maybe just playing with 10 and then just having to tell two of these guys to sit and I couldn’t justify that. “They all played really well in camp,” Kerr said.

The Golden State Warriors opened their season with a win against the Trail Blazers and face the Utah Jazz on Friday.
