Chicago shooting: 3 shots, 1 fatal, near Paulina, Howard CTA station in Rogers Park, CPD says

CHICAGO (WLS) – Three men were shot, one fatally, near the Howard CTA station in Rogers Park on Wednesday afternoon, Chicago police said.

The men were standing near the sidewalk in the 1600 block of West Howard Street just after 2:50 p.m. when an unknown vehicle pulled up and someone inside started shooting, CPD said.

A 29-year-old man was shot in the neck, back and stomach. He was taken to Ascension Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he died, CPD said.

An 18-year-old man was shot in the chest and taken to St. Francis in critical condition.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and taken to St. Francis in good condition.

No one is in custody and the criminal police are investigating.

The Chicago Fire Department initially said two people had been shot, one fatally.
