Noah, Liam and Oliver for boys and Olivia, Amelia and Emma for girls were among the most popular names for babies in 2024, a new study from BabyCenter found.

Noah was the most popular name for boys, followed by Liam and Oliver, while Olivia was the most popular name for girls, followed by Amelia and Emma, ​​BabyCenter said in a news release Monday, adding “‘E’ names for boys” and Add names ending in “”. -lee” or “-lyn” for girls became increasingly popular.

All of these names rose a few hundred places and landed in the top 1,000 girls’ names in the US for the first time.

The top 10 name list for boys and girls was similar to 2023’s except for a few changes, BabyCenter said. The top seven names for boys in 2024 were exactly the same as last year, while the bottom three shifted: Ezra rose one spot to No. 8, Asher rose two spots to No. 9, and Leo fell two Places back to 9th place. 10 and Luca fall off the list.

In the list of girls’ names, Amelia and Emma swapped places, with Amelia jumping to number 3 and Emma dropping back to number 3. Meanwhile, names that have fallen in popularity include Drake, Justin, Stanley and Sarah, which disappeared from the list of top 100 names for girls after 60 years. Other long-time favorites left off the top 100 names list include Kayden, Dominic and Aaron for boys and Eva and Jasmine for girls.

“BabyCenter’s reports draw insights from more than 500,000 babies born in 2024 to parents registered on the BabyCenter website and mobile app,” the company said in the press release, adding that since 2004 baby name reports published.
