Andrew leads Doncaster, Dundalk (AW) and Wolverhampton (AW) for his five stats-based selections on Friday October 25…

DONCASTER 2.08

JANEY MACKERS (System – New Bay, 2-3 years, last run, top three last time)

Sire New Bay’s offspring have a great record, finishing in the top three last time. The two and three year olds racing last month landed 35 of their 108 starts, earning £29.45 on a £1 stake at SP (expected winners = 24.66, A/E = 1, 42). Char was a winner in that regard on Wednesday night at Kempton and perhaps JANEY MACKERSwho finished a close third on her recent debut at Yarmouth, can move up two places.

DONCASTER 4.55

THE GOOD BISCUIT (System – Jack Channon, turf handicapper, good to soft or softer game, September to November, Grade 5 or higher)

The good cookie At his last start at Salisbury he was ninth out of 13, but the midfield was not ideal for someone who needs a lot of space in his races and he had been off the track for 106 days. Jack Channon’s three-year-old narrowly missed out on second place in a 6f Ripon Handicap on soft ground on his penultimate start and his score of 7 from 9 draw looks ideal. At the end of the season (September to November), handicappers on Channon yard-type turf courses tend to run well on good to soft or softer tracks, landing 54 of their 284 starts (19% hit rate) in Grade 5 or higher companies since 2007, for a profit of £121.81 from a £1 stake on SP (expected winners = 31.40, A/E = 1.72).

WOLVERHAMPTON 5.40

TRALEE GIRL (System – Michael Bell, second time, 2 years, all weather)

Michael Bell has a good all-weather record as the two-year-olds dropped out for the second time since the start of 2010, earning £52.06 on ten of the 88 qualifiers, equivalent to a stake at the £1 level at SP. Eight out of 41 players who have been rested for more than three weeks since their debut have made a profit of £89.06. TRALEE GIRL When she came second over course and distance on her debut at the end of September, she ran green and can go one better.

DUNDALK 7.00

TINO PAI (System – Sheila Lavery 2 years, six or more previous runs)

Sheila Lavery has a good record with her more experienced (six or more previous runs) youngsters, earning £21.55 from six of the 13 qualifiers. TINO PAI stood out sixth of 14 in a Naas nursery on her last start, making the most of getting off the pace, and can prevail on her all-weather debut and seventh career outing.

WOLVERHAMPTON 8.15

KHANGAI (System – James Owen, stable changers, all-weather)

KHANGAI has only won once from 25 starts, but the move to James Owen (from Mark Rimell) could bring an improvement. His up-and-coming trainer has a record of five out of 20 in the all-weather event the first time around, requesting horses to take on from other dealers with a profit of £8.35 for a £1 stake on SP. Those running at Wolverhampton had a form score of 111125 (4-6) before Come On John ran the 4.35 yesterday, and Khangai looks worth a bet given he had a respectable fifth place in his only previous track outing a mark that was 16 pounds higher.
