Collection locations announced for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day for Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – This Saturday, the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration are hosting local DEA locations for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

This will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The DEA and its partners will collect tablets, capsules, patches and other solid forms of prescription medications.

For more than a decade, the event has helped Americans easily rid their homes of unnecessary medications—old, unwanted or expired—that too often become a gateway to addiction.

Take Back Day provides free and anonymous disposal of unwanted medications at nearly 5,000 local drop-off locations across the country.
