The film Coralie Fargeat tells the story of a fading celebrity (Moore) who takes a black market drug that produces a younger version of herself (Margaret Qualley).

The substance was a record for Moore and achieved the highest score of a film in her career on Rotten Tomatoes.

A review by NPR called the project “a stunning showcase for Qualley and especially Moore, potentially channeling the aggressive, ever-spiraling spirit of Faye Dunaway in late-period Mommie Dearest and Bette Davis.”

“If Moore’s extraordinary, career-best performance doesn’t kick off a complete demi-assance, there is no God – that riff in The Picture of Dorian Gray goes ballistic in the best way possible,” he added Rolling Stone.

The film won the best screenplay award at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year after its premiere.

MUBI has released a number of acclaimed films on its service over the past year, including Josh O’Connor’s La Chimera, Cailee Spaenys Priscilla and Pedro Pascals Strange way of life.

The substance will be available to stream on MUBI from October 31st.
