Several Air Jordan releases have reportedly been postponed for 2025 – Footwear News

Some of the most anticipated Air Jordan releases in 2025 will reportedly arrive later than originally expected.

According to @brandon1an on X, at least five upcoming Air Jordan 25 launches have been postponed until later in the year. Pairs included in the pushbacks include the latest Union x Air Jordan 1, new colorways of the popular Nike SB x Air Jordan 4, “Rare Air” Air Jordan 1 for men and women, and the “Rare Air” Air Jordan 4.

A specific reason for the postponement has not been confirmed, but it is speculated that the recent delay of another sneaker, the “Black Toe Reimagined” Air Jordan 1, has led to the postponement of other models. The “Black Toe Reimagined” Air Jordan 1 was originally scheduled to release in October and has already arrived at some retailers, but the pair is now reportedly not set to officially release until February 1st.

The new release deadlines for the delayed pairs are as follows. The Union x Air Jordan 1 is moving from a February 2025 launch to summer. Instead of releasing in March, the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4s will also release in the summer. Both the men’s and women’s “Rare Air” Air Jordan 1, which were scheduled to release in February and January respectively, will now release in the summer. Finally, the “Rare Air” Air Jordan 4 was originally scheduled to release in February, and this pair has also been pushed back to a summer launch.

While the delayed release might throw some sneaker fans’ plans into disarray, the good news is that the shoes in question will still be available, but only at a later date. Alternatively, it was announced in September that a series of Air Jordans scheduled for a holiday 2024 release had been discontinued entirely.
